Over the last ten days I have been looking at various forum hosting sites as I am not happy about the constant downtime with IP these days. So, I have rebuilt another forum on similar lines and I would appreciate your thoughts on it.
Of course if I do this I want to move the posts to the new forum and also notify members by email. Now this is not set in stone, it depends on what you think as to whether we will go ahead with this.
You will see the forum as a guest but will need to register, even temporarily to test the new site. Here is the link:
I have been trying to "embed" a video to test if it can be done here and without success. If anyone wants to try to embed a MSNBC video or You Tube to see if it works that would be great. If it doesn't work I may need to change a setting. Thanks
I was thinking about ways that one could get the word out about this board. One way may be to create a profile on Myspace and facebook. This may help to let people know that Edmonton eTalk is online and bring a few more people around.
We did the same thing for our website and it seems to have helped. Perhaps it could help this board as well.
Due to the increased numbers of spammers trying to register, I have added gmail as an excluded address. New members should NOT use a gmail address to register as their account will not be validated.
